Acer Aspire 5920 with vista HP32 only works in safe mode

June 28, 2012 at 10:21:33
Specs: Windows Vista
My Acer keeps giving my a blue screen every time i enter my user under normal mode. so i went into safe mode with networking and checked the device manager and its the Consumer IR Driver. code 31. I have tried everything to get it to work. disabled it, updated, etc. but still no luck. is there anyway i can format the hard drive under safe mode? Because i cant even get into my user under normal mode for anymore than 2sec and the blue screen kicks me out and shuts the acer off.

if your computer will not boot up properly, you can attempt to reach the restore option by pressing the Alt button and the F10 button at the same time before windows loads or is meant to load.

When the eRecovery menu appears, choose "restore system to factory defaults".

Wait for the recovery process to complete and the computer to restart

Try downloading a hard drive utility software , you can get them from western digital or seagate and some other major hard drive manufacturers.
