accidently erased drive D partition

i accidently erased the partition for my d: drive, tried to retreive but is not the same, it came up as if it was a new memory...and it does not show up on "my computer", i don't know what to do.

By erased, do you mean formatted or delete?

If you know how to use a live Linux CD, boot the machine with it. Otherwise, there is recovery software that may work.

BTW its not memory {ram} it/s a partition on a hard drive
