3TB internal HDD partitioning problems

Specs: Windows Vista, 2.66ghz quad core/8gig
I purchased a 3TB internal hard-drive. When I was prompted to activate the drive I selected MBR partition. After I clicked Ok the drive was divided into 2 partitions with 2048 tb useable and 700 gig of unallocated space non useable. After the fact I read up and see that it would have been better to set up a GUID partition because MBR partitions only support 2TB. I have no data on the drive and I do not know how to reverse the partition can anybody please advise me? I am trying to delete the partitions and restore hard drive to original state so that I can convert from an MBR partition to a GUID.

Thanks in advance.
