wireless drivers

Dell / Inspiron 1200 (2005)

Specs: windows ME, Celeron M 1.3GHz/256
im looking for a windows ME driver for the dell 1350 wireless pcmcia b/g network card.
device MGR tells me "NDIS.VXD NTKERN.VXD device loaders for this device could not load the device driver" when using XP driver

I could only find 2000 and XP drivers on the Dell site. If you can determine who originally manufactured it you may be able to get the drivers from their site.

Well yes; that would be the answer. Like Dave said, if you can identify the card, the manufacturer "might" have drivers for Me or Win9x.

Another common problem with cards of this type is that they were only intended to run on Windows 2000 or above.

OK helpless, it's made by Broadcom. The drivers are probably on their site somewhere but it's hard to find anything there since it's an OEM. I did find this:

Apparently that's the original that came with the Dell 1350. Dell's site says it's only compatible with 2K and XP. Others say it works with 95, 98 and ME (I doubt 95 under any circumstances). I'm going to download it and see if it looks like it'll install with ME.

helpless here, original drivers, and latest drivers do not work. thats why i am here.
oh, and i already knew that broadcom made it, and they are so far stuck up their own ass they cant possibly help an end user. they say to get drivers from dell
