What "utility setup" are you referring to? BIOS? Unplug the power cord, open the case, remove the motherboard battery, count to 10, replace the battery, close the case, plug in the power, bootup, then enter the BIOS. All settings will need to be reviewed & corrected as needed. Make sure to save before you exit.

Ten seconds may not be long enough. There probably is a 'clear cmos' jumper setting on your motherboard. Check the manual if you can't find it. Usually it's a 3-pin configuration. The jumper will be in the standby position. With the power cable disconnected, jumper it to the 'clear' position for a couple seconds and then back to the standby position.

Some motherboards may have a separate 'password clear' jumper. Again, consult the manual if necessary and clear it the same way as the 'clear cmos'.

As a small addition to #1, with the battery out and the computer disconnected from the mains supply, hold in the power-on button for about half a minute.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
