Are you asking about WinXP or WinME? Regardless, all you have to do is disable System Restore, then reboot...all the restore files will be deleted.

If you have WinME, I recommend that you leave System Restore disabled. It doesn't work well & hurts system performance. If you have XP, it's up to you. Personally, I don't use it, but if you feel you need/want it, you can adjust the percentage of drive space dedicated to the restore files by using the "slider". Immediately afterwards, you should create a new restore point.

You should also try running the Disk Defragmenter if you're looking to free up space. It should get your hard drive in order and also improve access speeds. You'd be surprised how much space can be saved by running that occasionally - it takes a while though. Best to leave your computer on overnight if you haven't run it before as it can get in the way of what you're doing.

Thanks, I already do that fairly often.... Will see whether it "needs it again now", though.....
Appreciate your help.
