Specs: Windows Me, 633 Mhz/255 Mb Ram
Every time I get an email from a particular person with an attachment I get a message saying ....os removed access to the following unsafe attachments. The computer it is sent from is a borough gov't computer and the same email attachments can be opened on my parents computer. Is there a way I can open them on my computer? Thanks

"os removed access to the following unsafe attachments"

Do you mean OE as in Outlook Express?

Personally, I use Thunderbird:

Just out of curiousity, do you ever google for solutions?

Yea, i use outlook express. Your link gave me the way to open the attachment. My Mom has thunderbird with her Vista. A program called windows or microsoft office or something opens it but the page has no way I can see of being printed or even copied so I can paste it somewhere. It's a program that has a free trial period that has run out but it still opened the attachment. In regards to me googling questions., I don't want to have to keep giving my system specs, etc. every time I ask a question. This sight has given me excellent and rapid answers. I will try googling though to see what happens. Thanks

Since when do you have to give your system specs when using google? All you had to do was enter, "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments". Like this:

The 1st hit on the list is what I posted in my other response.

"My Mom has thunderbird with her Vista"

Not sure what Vista has to do with anything. Thunderbird is not a Microsoft product, it's an open source (free) e-mail client similar to Outlook Express. It didn't come with Vista so someone must have installed it for her.

Dump the trial version of MS Office & replace it with another open source application, OpenOffice:

There's very little reason to pay for ANY software anymore.
