Won't startup

Specs: Windows 95
My father in law tried to reformat his hard drive to install windows 98 and now the laptops messed up. It is an older laptop but it does work. It had 95 on it and he just wants that back now. When he reformatted he didn't save any system stuff or anything...it's gone. When it powers on it comes up with a red box saying NoteBios partition or file doesn't exist...save to disk disabled. The windows 95 screen flashes for a few seconds then it goes back to the black screen and simply shows C:\>. Anyway this can be fixed??

Maybe; what is the manufacturer and exact model of the laptop.

Your father has apparently erased the NoteBios partition...there may be a process to restore it.

Exact model I'm not sure of...the manufacturer is Tiger. It's an
older laptop but like I said it worked fine before he started
messing with it. Hope this helps.
