My Compaq armada 1750 does not boot from disk

Specs: Linux i686, 192
I cannot install W98. Armada 1750 says: no bootable disk. error 602
one partition 6 Gb fat 32
No problem with Linux disks

Are you booting from the cdrom or floppy? Make sure the boot order in cmos/bios setup is the way you want it. Put the drive you're wanting to boot from as the first boot device.

Are you sure the disk you're using is bootable? You may want to try it in another machine to make sure.
