Solved Installation of W95 asking for name of command interpreter

April 24, 2018 at 09:21:09
Specs: Windows 7
I am trying to install Windows 95 in Virtualbox on a Widnows 7 Pro x64 host. After creating a VM I started the VM and a DOS screen appeared. On the DOS screen was this: Type the name of the Command Interpreter (e.g. C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM). I typed that command but it just when back to the Type the name........... .

I have tried every command I can think of and nothing works. Could someone tell me what the command is supposed to be. I have six other legacy Windows OS's installed in VB, one is Windows 3.1 and I had no problem with the DOS prompt screen. It asked for no command.

So again, can anyone tell me what command I am supposed to type in to be able to install Windows 95. Thanks
