|Most PC's from the 98 era wont have the capacity to boot from USB. Some of the older models lack the capacity to boot from CD-Rom.|
If you have another PC with a floppy drive (and a spare disk) you can use the disk images from
to create a windows 98 rescue floppy.
If you manage to start the PC using a floppy
1) Select "Start computer without CD Rom support"
2) Type C:
3) Use DIR to list the hard disk contents
4) Use CD to change directory
5) Use COPY to copy files to a backup as needed.
