Installing Windows 95 on a computer capable of running Vista is likely to be a real challenge, one which may ultimately prove futile. Don't put yourself through that. Install Windows 95 on a virtual machine, such as VirtualBox, Virtual PC, or VMware.

Just about any computer should work.

On computers with two or more processors/cores, Windows 95. should work on a Virtual PC/Emulator from within Windows Vista.

On Pentium 4 equivalent computers with less than 1GB of RAM, Windows 98 should install from CD.

On Pentium 3 computers with less than 512mb of RAM, Windows 95 should install from CD.

On 386 computers Windows 95 should install from floppy disks? :P
