You didn't say what type of interface the cd-rom drive has (the type of connection).

You need to boot off a Win95 boot floppy along with the Win95 CD in the drive. If the install doesn't start automatically, you will have to start it manually by typing SETUP at the A:>\ prompt, then pressing ENTER

Thank you all so very much for your kind help/reply's, The cd-rom is an external device, which is connected to the Toshiba libretto's replicator printer port.Floppy drive is via a pcmcia card, after installing device driver for the external cd-rom ,using Floppy disk provided, on reboot system says, no cd- rom found,I did try windows 95 boot disk, as suggested by the other kind person, and type in setup, but comes up, place floppy in drive a:/ etc I have another fully working original Toshiba libretto with all the original Toshiba programs on the hard drive, and that also comes up,no cd-rom found after external cd-rom drivers installed. have also tried to install win95 , via a pcmcia memory card, but again ,it does not register it in Dos 6.22, so still at a loss!!! Thank you again, look forward to your further help

To install win95 on Toshiba Libretto 50ct,
Have now cracked it, as the Toshiba has no cd-rom,and was not able to install an external cd-rom via the add on replicator unit, printer port, bought a cheap Toshiba running win 98 ,with floppy drive and cd-rom ,down the boot fair, installed win 95 on a Dos partition, with a file for win 95 cabs etc. and I am now running win 95 on the Libretto, obviously still need the special Toshiba programnes, for display / power management.
Thanks for all your replies.
