I want to create a bootable USB using IMA file, having Windows 98 boot files. I have created a bootable CD by using this. I have checked this on SATA DVD Writer Drive. It was working fine. It contains this. http://i.imgur.com/eTz1cWX.jpg OR
Provide me a bootable ISO, so I can use it with DOS prompt with DVD Drive.
I have created bootable USB with Free DOS by using "rufus_v1.1.7f", but It does not load DVD Drive.
I have tried converting IMA file to ISO by using "IMG to ISO", but It shows error. "Error, the img file does not contain a recognized file system, can not create iso file". I have also tried MagicISO, ImgBurn and IsoBuster, but failed to convert IMA to ISO.
Kindly help.
The DVD drive probably didn't load because you weren't using a DOS SATA cdrom driver. The only one I'm sure of is GCDROM.SYS. You can download it here: http://www.hiren.info/downloads/dos...
It may not work with all SATA controllers but that'd be the place to start.
I appears you want to install Win98 on modern hardware. You may find this difficult, if not impossible, to do. Win98 will not have any drivers for your modern hardware. Win98 will only run correctly with 512MB or less of RAM. The issues go on and on.
