Specs: Windows 7
How do I setup Windows 98 on a formatted hard drive.?
I do have a Windows 98 disc but my computer keeps telling me I need setup files.

Does your computer have a floppy drive? You need a Win98 boot disk. You can download the program to create a boot disk from here: http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

Post back some specs on the computer you're attempting to install it on--cpu speed, ram, hard drive size--as 98 can have some problems installing on newer equipment.

What is written on the cd? There's several '98' disks that aren't actually installation disks.

Tell us what you did prior to it giving you the message about needing setup files and what is the exact wording of that message?
