I could not post anything like replies btw after clicking on reply below your message....My call name is vaporize..Now to the Link: https://www.computing.net/answers/w...
Windows 98 is basically a glorified 95 so the Registries except for added entries are virtually identical IMO. Thanks.
That thread you referred to is six years old - lol The person with the problem would have fixed it by now don't you think?
Please check date of thread before replying - - you wasted your time on that one - completely pointless.

Not to mention the number of people running Win9x these days is probably close to zero (statistically).
"Here is the link you asked for" Uhh...WHO asked for the link - and where is it?
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
LOL you do not understand why I posted...so I shall tell you. I came to the website because I googled the driver letter situation...when I found no answer I got an idea...why not do an edit in the Registry and it worked. So I posted in case someone else is looking to solve the problem. Remember that to play old games Windows 95 or Dos will do nicely on an older machine...Thanks for your input as I did not expect so soon a reply.
Yes, W95 and W98 registries are similar. I assume that is all you were really trying to say. OK, thanks, maybe it will help someone who runs DOS programs and doesn't already know that.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
