That's a bit weird.

OK, so you let the bar run across and eventually it says Run or Save. If you choose Save, where do you normally save it to (or what does it suggest)?

Did you take a note of the name of the file it is downloading? If so, what happens if you do a search for it afterwards?

Is this something that used to work then suddenly went wrong?

Is your machine really Vista because your post arrived on the W95/98 forum?

I tried several times to save the file i was downloading and selected the location but the file never appears afterwards. I Had the problem a few time this past year. I was able to download the file after changing some of my security settings in Norton, so anyone else out there experiencing the same problem may want check thier security settings. I think the problem may have started after I downloaded Norton about a year ago. Thanks for follow-up

Are you saying you've solved the problem? If so, I should mention that Norton seems to have a dubious reputation around here. Consider dumping it and using one of these free AV's:

Microsoft Security Essentials.

AVG is OK too but I find it a little bloated (but not half as much as Norton).
