Can I copy part of a file to another using MSDOS? I want to break a file into pieces so that I can e-mail it but have a 10MB limit on e-mail size. Files is too big to open in MSDOS Edit because I run out of far memory

Google and download "The File Splitter". This will split the file into pieces of your choosing.
Caveat. It also creates an .exe file to reassemble at the other end. 2 work arounds, since you cannot always send an executable by email. One, try zipping the exe or renaming it a .txt file. Tell the reciever to change it back.

Good news--You don't need to split the file! Upload the file to a site like (it's free).

When the file is done uploading, it will give you a link to the file. Copy that link and e-mail it to your recipient, and tell him/her to retrieve the file by clicking on the link and following the instructions.

I use it to share huge files with people all the time. No overloaded inboxes, no spam, no problems!

Hope this helps!

Also free, the one notifies recipient for you.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.
