Specs: Windows 98, 128
I have an old computer with Win.98 OS. I want to copy 3 of my power-point show files saved on desktop to a CD. Please give some guidelines how to go about with that. Thanks.

you need a cd burner and software to use it. Many "old computer with Win.98 OS." , don't have burners. Do you have a cd burner??

I don't have a cd burner. I'll be getting a new laptop shortly. Therefore, I'm trying to copy all important docs and files from the hard drive of this old pc elsewhere. So far I've successfully copied several Word docs and PP shows that are less than 1 MB onto different floppys. But there are 3 PP shows that are more than 2 MB each. I cannot get a floppy that has more space than 1.44 MB. A CD usually has 700 MB.

Regarding using USB, again I don't think a pc as old as mine will be compatible with it. And .. if I email the files to myself, the only option is to save in my own computer.

Is it possible to copy files onto a CD from the hard drive in the same way as copying into a floppy?

The files will have to be burnt to a CD. Also you copying them to a floppy. New laptops don't have a floppy drive. You will need a USB floppy drive. Or you can take your harddrive out and slave to a friends computer. Maybe you have a good friend that knows about computers and will be kind enough to slave your drive to their computer and copy files that way then get them to a USB thumb drive or a CD. Also I have seen USB drives that work with 98 SE. Is your PC 98 or 98 SE?
