Solved Windows store offers updates for apps not installed

Microsoft Ms office 97 standard edition...

Specs: Windows 8, 3Ghz/3Gb
I go to Metro Store because it shows there are 3 to update: Skype, Norton Studio and Kindle.

None of these applications appear in Control Panel's Uninstall Program list nor are they found in the Programs folder.
I don't know why the updates are being offered and don't want to install the apps.
Anyone know how to get it to stop offering the app updates?
I searched Google and Here but find nothing related.
(It is possible that this HP Pavilion came with Norton Studio and was removed on day 1 but find no remnants of it)

✔ Best Answer
These applications may be on the All apps start menu. Right-click a blank portion on the start menu and click show all apps on the right bottom corner. Now carefully scrutinize all the apps that are installed. These app may not be in the Program Files folder ( and/or Program Files (x86) Folder ).

You may stop the updates being offered. This tutorial may be useful.
