Windows 8 stay still after long running

Specs: Windows8, 3.0 512
I have win 8 installed on Dell optiplex 760.If this computer running for long time period click any thing on desktop nothing happen even i click to shutdown nothing happen so have press power button to shutdown. when i turn on again every thing works fine.
What is the problem please explain.

Maybe you should uncheck, if checked, the power-saving feature for your mouse.

Open Device Manager and find your mouse. Open Properties of your mouse and go to Power Management tab. Uncheck the box that reads "Turn off this device to save power".

You may do the same to the USB controllers because Windows tries to power off all devices in an attempt to save power and to reduce air pollution and global warming.

If the above is not a solution to your issue, then you must turn off power-saving feature in BIOS, too. There may be several places where power-saving is enabled. For this, you must refer to your motherboard manual. Ex: EuP ready ( AMI BIOS ) -> allows BIOS to switch off power to various devices when enabled. This BIOS setting must be disabled in those motherboards that have AMI BIOS.
