Specs: Windows 8
I could be just casually browsing the internet and all of a sudden the shop opens itself! I just got this laptop today and it's my first time with windows 8. What can I do about it?

This is only a guess but I would suspect the problem is the way you are using your trackpad. Windows 8 is designed to make full use of gestures and swipes so, as a result, if you are browsing a website it is very easy to accidentally swipe with more than one finger, or in the wrong part of the pad and anything can then happen (you probably have 'store' open and it just toggles to it).

You have a couple of options: First, check under mouse settings in Control Pad and see what the settings are for swiping etc. - modify/turn off/learn them as appropriate. Secondly you could attach a USB mouse and use this alongside the trackpad - use the mouse for browsing - you won't get the swiping problems and use the touchpad if you need to do any gestures/swiping.

Yet another annoyance of using Windows 8 on a non-touchscreen that they don't mention in the advertising.
