Specs: Windows 8 Professional, AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1100T Processor, 3300 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)/Total Physical Memory 15.9 GB (4x4GB Corsair Vengeance DIMMs)
On my Windows 8 Pro Desktop PC, my WiFi connectivity keeps turning off, it's like I just turned off the hardware wifi switch on a laptop. I have to disable and reenable my wifi adapter about every five minutes. Is there a fix for this? Yes, I have the newest drivers and the dang thing worked fine before I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro.

You may try turning off the power-saving feature for the Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager.

Open Device Manager with admin privileges and find your wi-fi adapter. Open Properties of your adapter and go to Power Management tab. Uncheck Turn off this device to save power checkbox.

Hope this helps.

I just ran across this thread and I tried your advice and it worked!
I could not stand the wifi shutting down constantly.
