Windows 8 Features Discussions

Specs: Windows XP
After hearing about the Windows 8 leaks, I've been rummaging around on the web to find out more about what's expected in the release. Here's a few items that I've happened upon that intrigue.

- An apps store
- ARM architecture support
- Built-in virtualization and cloud computing
- Mosh, a "tile-based user interface". Think Windows Phone.

Very interesting items. A completely revamped and sped-up OS that can be accessed anywhere on any device that uses a familiar tile-based system and gives access to a massive library of apps? Sign me up.

I'm definitely not too crazy about the whole "Tile-based user interface"
I can understand the appeal on a smaller screen (ie. phones and tablets)
but a 20+ inch monitor with 50 tiles isn't going to look pretty at all.

In terms of cool and shiny things, I'm hoping Windows 8 will be as innovative as Windows 7 was in Aero.
