Specs: Windows Vista, About 1 Gig of RAM
I an using VirtualBox 4.1.2 | I cannot install Windows 8 on it... When I start up the virtual machine, (Booting from ISO) it says "Loading files..." as usual. Then the screen goes black for about a minute and then the screen says "Windows Developer Preview"... Then the screen goes black again and on the top-left of the screen it says "your computer needs to restart. Hold down the power button" or something like that... Then it shows about 5 error codes on the bottom of it. THIS IS NOT THE BSOD... it is just a black screen with flashing text on the top left... After about 10 flashes, it changes... to something wierd... with odd characters... I don't get it. But please help!

From what I have seen on the virtualbox forums, this is a problem that a lot of users are experiancing.
The virtualbox admin are not willing to investigate the issue as any effort they put in could be invalidated when Win8 goes into beta (more changes)

The advice some of the users were posting was to try using an IDE controller for the hard disk (will require formatting and re-installing the VM)

In the settings of the virtual machine... It shows the following:

IDE Controller
--Windows 8.vdi
--(iso file)

The Win8 Beta isn't scheduled to be released until February so I guess you have the "Developer Preview"? It's not going to perform well in a Virtual Machine with only 1GB RAM. Regardless, you should expect it to be somewhat buggy.
