For starters, clean up your language.

"And there is only one partition on the ultrabook"

I doubt it. How did you come up with that? What is the advertised size of the HDD & what is the size of the one partition?

Not what you asked I realize but if you hate Win 8 have you considered working mainly from the desktop? If you organize things there you can access everything you want. You can make folders there with shortcuts inside them and end up with less desktop icons than you had on Win 7. As for programs there are desktop versions of most things if anything you want is not available.

You could just use the metro screen for certain things you want to go to regularly in just one click.

Another other possibility is to make Win 8 appear like Win 7 using this freebie:

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

"And advertising size is 439 GB"

No, that's not an "advertised" size, nor is it the actual size of an advertised drive. Advertised would be something like 500GB, actual would be approx 465GB. My guess is you have 2 partitions at the very least, but quite possibly more than that. You're not going to see hidden partitions by looking in "My Computer", you need to look in Disk Management. And out of curiousity, why do you need 6 partitions? What will you be putting in them all?

If you don't have a touch screen & you're not happy with the Win8 interface, just change it!
