You might be intruded with ads or somewhat. Try checking the extensions.
Refer here to check your extensions http://help.opera.com/Mac/11.60/en/...

If you notice any unwanted extensions, remove them. Try if that fixes opera. if not, then try to reset opera.

On Windows, Press Windows Key + R (or use the start menu / start screen search for 7 or 8) and type in: %appdata%
Find the folder OPERA. Delete that. (make sure opera is not running before deleting that folder).

Hope that helps.

These two widely used and safe little freebies which are focussed on browser malware and often unearth a lot:
(run them in the order given)

AdwCleaner:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...
(blue Download button near top - not anything else on the page).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Use the "Scan" button, followed by the "Cleaning" button.

Junkware Removal Tool (JRT)
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...
(blue Download button near top - not anything else on the page).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run JRT. It might appear to have stopped at times or flash the screen but sit tight until it has finished.

If they find anything please copy/paste their logs on here because further steps are likely to be necessary to ensure you are clear of malware.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

OK, thanks for the feedback. However, as I said, without the logs we can't comment about whether the computer is now properly clean or not. If you paste the logs I can alert a colleague who's specialism is to run further checks if necessary. Everything is free on here (volunteers) so no worries on that score.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
