When you browse the CD do you see the files and what file type are they?
Can you import the files on another computer without issues?

Subject to the above you might be able to copy/paste the files off the disk to somewhere of your choice.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

One poster was getting that error when trying to copy downloaded files. It turned out the files had an extended quarantine attribute. He had to use a mac to remove it:

but after that he no longer got the error. I wondered if that attribute was what windows sees as a blocked file. Anyway here's some info on unblocking a file in windows:

I'm not sure if you'd try that on the windows 8 or the xp computer you recorded it on. With xp it'll show when you right click on a file and choose 'properties'. If it's a potentially blocked file there'll be a 'security' entry under the attributes with an 'unblock' box.

I don't know if that'll fix it but it's something to try. Other suggestions were that the cd was corrupted. Is it a cd-r or a cd-r/w disk?
