Specs: Windows 8
I have a Toshiba satellite laptop and I am having issues playing the dvds on the Cyberlink powerdvd 12 player. It seems to freeze up when it is processing. Any guidance would greatly be appreciated.

Do these disks play elsewhere?

Do they show properly as disks (reveal their contents) when accessed via Explorer?

Did they ever play with this version of Cyberlink or any other?

They are legitimate disc with copy right advertisement. I have played these disc on Media Player and Real time but not the cyberlink power dvd 12. I may just uninstall the cyberlink dvd player and upload the media player.

Mmm it might be an issue with Cyberlink... There have been instances where it hasn't worked for me and a given OS. I seem to recall it would be a particular version of Cyberlink, and that either a previous/ealier version was OK, or possibly a subsequent one would be OK.

It might be worth checking around Cyberlinks support in general to see if there are known issues with version you have? Equally it "may" be spme windows-8 conflict; any error messages at all with Cyberlink?
