Solved Web pages stop loading in Windows 8

June 1, 2013 at 12:05:09
Specs: Windows 8
I have a laptop - Samsung- used primarily for email and facebook games, I am addicted. Occasionally when I go to a game the page will start then just stop. I usually hit refresh then it will load a bit more then stop again. Sometimes it takes up to 10 refreshes to get the page complete. I found somewhere to flush the dns- but I can't even get to a blessed start menu! I hope someone can help before I throw this machine out the window!!

The dns should flush by restarting the computer.

If you want to flush dns manually then first hit the Windows key + X and select Command Prompt from the dropdown. On the black screen, type the following then hit the Enter key:

ipconfig /flushdns

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I would recommend clearing your IE temp files.
With IE open hit Alt+X, O, Advanced tab, under it's Security section (last category) place a tick next to "Empty temporary internet files folder when browser is closed"
Click Ok.
Close (Exit) and reopen IE.
