Go into your router's configuration page using any web browser and a wired connection.
In the wireless section you will see what setting needs to be changed.

What didn't work, you couldn't get into your router's settings or you can't figure out how to configure the router?

Try uninstalling the network adapter driver from the device manager, let Windows reinstall it,. Then factory reset your router via the red button using a pen, pin or needle and reset your modem.

Before you uninstall the network drivers, please answer my question in post. # 4. Also, you said the network was hidden. So do you not see the network at all?

There is no reason to reset your modem, it has nothing to do with your computer not connecting to your router.
