Hi LHOOVER,

Windows 8 has a lot of new features. The discretion of using Windows 8 depends entirely on your usage and which operating system you are comfortable with.

Hello, this is not directed toward Lhoover, but the moderator that recently deleted the double-post that Lhoover accidentally made. To help find it (if it's just hidden and not deleted), Derek was the first reply.

In the other post, Lhoover asked a similar question but additionally remarked about having issues with Windows 7 running slowly. I had made a somewhat lengthy reply explaining about Windows 8 and the upcoming difference, why Lhoover should probably stick to Windows 7 indefinitely, and also steps to fixing the slow computer problems he/she is having. Upon making such reply, the thread in question was removed from view.

If it is gone permanently, I ask that moderators take a closer look in comparing "double-posts" and keeping the one that has more information rather than the one created at an earlier date.

Just my luck, I just installed my current browser on this computer and hadn't yet installed my favorite form recovery add-on, so my post is gone. That's life though. Heh.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.

LHOOVER

Double posting causes confusion and unnecessary work for helpers. Best stick to the first thread you post - you just reply to it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
