Hey Everyone, I recently installed a version of Windows 7 on a separate HDD in my computer. I mainly use Windows 8.1, and every time I boot up the computer it prompts me to choose which operating system to load. I've managed to set the timer on this to only 5 seconds, but I would like to turn this off entirely. I usually just open my BIOS startup menu (via F11) and choose the other hard drive when I want to use Windows 7. I looked in Control Panel a bit but didn't find anything, and FYI I'm ok with editing the registry if it needs to be done.
Thanks!
Use BCDEDIT to remove the Windows 7 entry from your boot config. If there's only one OS, the loader skips the menu. Alternatively, you could just ignore it. Win8 continues to load while the menu's up, because Microsoft knows Win8 is the best experience you have ever had, and they know you know you would never pick anything else.
Yeah, sure, Microsoft knows LOL. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
