Solved toshiba laptop boot into bios help

Specs: Windows 64
need to boot into bios after new version bios downloaded and installed. Says use F2 at startup, but it does not work. Toshiba satellite p55t-a5202

mmm - not familiar with the your Toshiba model - but the manual is here:

General versions - and one specific to win-8.1... which presumably you're using?

Page 125 is where they detail (at least with win-8.1) how to access systems settings (aka BIOS in the manual index at the back).

Perhaps that my allow?

This is Toshiba list related to bios access; the left column (at least) may have a few ideas too?

Thank you for your reply. I found the solution just moments ago by reading a book about win 8. It has to be done thru the pc settings general within windows..Thanks.

I thought that would be the case - hence the link/reference to the win-8.1manual download...

Quite why M$ keep fixing things that aren't broke is beyond me...

BIOS updates are rarely needed and can be risky. I assume it is necessary in order to achieve something or other.
