Has the game worked before?
I suggest checking the minimal requirements... Perhaps it's not compatible with Windows 8.

Hi thanks for trying to helo Its a gaming computer sold to me for her to play Sims on it .. It worked perfectly for 4 months recently she was given a new Sims add on and it came as a download which we did .. so now we have uninstalled all sims then reloaded all but left that "add on" off But its still crashing ??.. It firstly keeps stopping then just goes blank and the error message comes up ... should I try and re install windows ?? I don't know how but I can maybe get someone to do this.. "Geeks to you" said its software problem ? She has had every sims game that ever came out so she knows how to play it so its not an "operator error "

No. There's no need to re-install your operating system (Windows 7).
But I suggest you try and re-install the Sims again.
Also, see if you can get support from their official site.

"Its a gaming computer"

That's not helpful. Is it a laptop or a desktop? What is the make/model? And please post the exact error message. Is there a STOP code?

It might also help to know the add on package in case the add on is less friendly with your system.
