Solved Restoring back to previous state for Windows 8?

Specs: Windows 8, Intel core i3
Dear Expert, Unfortunately I put zero brightness for My Lenovo Laptop ( G580 Model 20150), for I lost my laptop screen, and it was keep presenting dark screen so I was unable to fix the screen brightness for want of knowledge about the Windows 8. And I reboot the laptop by pressing power button to fix the brightness, but instead of giving that option it gave me several option, and I picked refresh option, so after done the refresh, the system removed bunch of important file along with the McAfee Antivirus Plus.
Under above those circumstances, I need to know that how do I restore back to previous state for Windows 8? Thanks

Screen brightness is usually adjusted by holding the Fn key & tapping either the Home or End key.

I don't think you can undo what you did. You should have gotten warnings that your files & programs would be lost if you did the "refresh"?

In the meantime, I did the restored back to previous date, and the Mcafee Antivirus plus got back but the problem is that the real time scan is off, and I couldn't able to turn it back on. Right now is there any idea to turn back on?
