Why do you want to do a reset? Do you realize you will lose all your data & any programs that were installed since you 1st got it?

All you need to do is tap the F9 key immediately at startup, then follow the instructions.

As Riider warns you... restoring it to factory state will wipe "all" your personal files etc...

Would be very wise first to copy them all to external storage; typically optical (DVD) and maybe another hard drive too (if you have one spare). Check they are accessible too - on the system that made them, and at least one other if possible. Having done that then consider carefully (as per Riider) whether or not you really need to restore the system fully...

If you can boot to safe-mode at least, you may be able to do it all from there. If you can't boot up at all... then use a Linux disk (Ubuntu is typical) to boot up and then access/copy the files that way...

Ubuntu can be download as an ISO, saved and burned to a DVD. Then boot with that DVD
