I too am having a terrible time. I have a Samsung bought last year have had HD replaced once already. was working fine, shut down the laptop the next day when I started it up it said Preparing automatic repairs for about 30 seconds then jumps to a black screen, I left it for hours and it stayed on the black screen (backlight is on). I read MANY posts. I created a recovery drive from my other laptop, changed BIOS to USB, rebooted USB stick flashes, Samsung logo appears little white loading circle appears and looks as if it is going to load something and then about 1 minute late pops to the black screen again!! I am SO frustrated I feel like there is nothing more I can do. Also tried battery out power button down plug in NO AVAIL
"Also tried battery out power button down plug in NO AVAIL"
Leave the battery in & try this.Unplug everything, including the power cord, hold the power button in for at least a minute & try again in battery mode.
You should eventually get a diagnostic screen.

Can you get into Safe mode screen?
There should be a repair option there.

no I cannot get into safemode either, the only F# keys that will work are F2 and F10 (both BIOS)
Nothing :( no safe mode
You where holding the Shift key down, whilst toggling the F8 key?
Yes I did
Ok, try this & see if you can do the repairs or at least save your important stuff. Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home

Yep.Another way is to put W8 on a USB & then get into Restore to an earlier point.
