Hello there

I want to learn and become expert in server 2008 to get a good position and knowledge.

I am planning to practice installing, configuring, and maintaining the server 2008 services.
So, I am working in a company and I have installed server 2008 in a desktop (Which is in LAN) for practice purpose.
My link is. can I create domain for practicing purpose, If I install, will it affect to my Company domain.?

can I intall all services in 2008? Will it affect my company any waty ?

Please suggest me.

If this domain is going to be connected to your company network you should seek the advice of and permission from the company IT staff. They are the only ones who can provide an authoritative answer to your question.

Use a network separate from your company network. (not necessarily physically separate, just a different network range). If you were to set up a DHCP server, which you might reasonably want to do, you would create severe problems if it was on the company network.

If you are not part of the company IT team you shouldn't be doing this; if you are you should know the answer.
