No sound when watching movies on TV via USB

Specs: Windows 8
my tv won't play sound when using my USB. the first time when I used it, the sound was on and clear but the second time when I sent movies on my usb tyring to play them via my tv the video is clear but no sound was coming out

What format are the videos, IE mpeg 2, mpeg 4, etc?

Do the movies that originally worked still work with sound? If so compare the file extension of those with the ones that never worked. Let us know and if need be we might be able to suggest a converter.

It might be due to the audio codec not being supported by the TV. I have MP4 movies that play perfectly on my LG & Philips TVs, but the same movies only play video on my RCA. Check the TV manufacturer's site to see if a firmware upgrade is available.

You may try handbrake or hd video converter factory to change the audio codec.
