Solved No icon to Permanently delete e-mails on Thunderbird in Win8

June 18, 2013 at 17:05:09
Specs: Windows 7
With Windows XP, I was able to put all my deleted e-mails in the trash by just clicking on the edit icon on the left hand side of the open window and scroll down to click on trash before exiting the program. Now with Windows 8 and using Thunderbird for my e-mail, I can't find the edit icon to click on and then scroll down to trash. There is a trash icon on the left, but I don't know if it is really doing that.

I don't use Thunderbird but I did find this:

Looks like the Delete key rules.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
