October 11, 2013 at 15:41:43
Specs: Windows 8
I received me new laptop today the Lenovo G585. I opened it up and followed the instructions from the start, putting the battery in followed by the charger then turned it on. It was okay until a message came up saying:
Recovery
Your PC needs to repaired
The application or operating system couldn't be located because a required file is missing or contains errors.

File:\windows\system32\winload.efi
Error code:0xc000000f

I believe this is called the 'the blue screen of death'. It's brand new today and also it came with no windows disc. I've tried everything suggested online as well as from tech savy friends but no joy. Please help

I've taken it to a professional and they took one look at it and said the reason why it won't start up, the hardrive is faulty. I've sent it back and a new one is on the way. Thank you for all your help :-)
