Solved Need to protect email address and after i sell my other pc

Specs: Windows 8
i am selling 1 of my pcs, which is win-7, am currently using win 8 laptop-( toshiba) how do i protect my emails & email address when buyer changes the address etc. i use gmail. Very grateful for previous answers.Have no detail as to how to back-up, OAP and Non techie Alexander

If you check the userguide for your system it should tell you how to do what you want in detail. but essentially your pc should have a built-in recovery system - I think Lenovo call it 'One Key Recovery'. Start the system and at the Lenovo logo tap the F2 key a few times - this should bring up the recovery menu. Note this will restore your computer to factory conditions and will wipe your personal data from it.

If you need to download the manual go HERE and do a search for your pc model no.

Gmail is web based. Unless you have Outlook configured to download your email from the Gmail server, there is no Gmail-email on your computer. But being that you're selling the computer, it would be wise to completely wipe the hard drive & reinstall Windows from scratch. What is the make/model of the computer you're selling? Do you have or did you ever create the Win7 Recovery disk set?

i appreciate your answer. pc to be sold is a LenovoC200 touch screen desk top and no i have not created a win7 recovery disk set, would i need to take to a pc eng. to wipe the hard drive>
