It will not turn back on and was on charge when it shut off, I tried it without it plugged in but still nothing

Also try Derek's tip... Remove all power - battery included. Press and hold the on/off button for about 20-30 seconds. Then restore power and see if things improve?

Another thing to try, Remove the laptop's battery, plug in the power cord and try to start it. If the battery has a short in it then it will not run with the battery installed but will run without the battery, just on the external power of the power/charge cord. If this works, you will probably need to replace the battery.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
