Multi-boot Win 7/Win 8 PC DVD drive missing in Win 8

Specs: N/A
I have dual boot windows 7 and windows developer preview. Windows 8 is fine except that it does not detect DVD drive at all. Device manager does not list DVD drive too. My windows 7 does not have any problem. Somewhere I read suggestion to edit registry some upper send lower filters but I did not find anything to delete in the registry. Other than that I could not find any solution/help in web.
Can anybody throw some light on this?

I do not know if this solution works for Win 8, too. As you said, Win 8 is a developer preview, not even a public preview.
