I never had this problem up to now. I prefer mozilla version 11 over the new one . But after I set to Not update - it still update. I feel the new Mozilla is very intrusive and hate the look of it.
How can I stop version 11 updating to the new version ??

I have no clue what is Mozilla 11 but if you meant Firefox browser, read THIS 2011 Announcement posted by Mozilla.org (Hint: Try to learn to adapt to a more secured versions - Mozilla does it to make their stuff better just like Microsoft does it to Windows every second Tuesday of the Month.)

Version 11 is several years old. The current version is 39.0. You have recently posted about malware on your system. Using an outdated browser is at least partially to blame. And unless you followed up on THIS post, you system may still be infected.

I have the latest Firefox and you can choose whether it updates automatically or not:

No idea whether the above applies to such an old version but using it is a security risk. You can soon get used to the appearance of a browser - it's a lot harder to clean up viruses and malware.

I use the manual setting and check it at least once a week by going to Firefox > Help > About. In fact the Automatic setting is little different. You still have to go to Help > About but it then automatically updates without you having to hit the button.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
