Hi, i have windows 8 on a lenovo x131e. Whenever i open a video file and i move my mouse around at the same time the mouse freezes for a split second and then moves normally. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what i can do to fix it? Thanks!

Are you referring to an external mouse or the built-in touchpad?

If touchpad, try updating it's driver from the Lenovo website:
http://support.lenovo.com/en_GB/

If external mouse, try disabling the touchpad. I know how to do that in Windows 7 but not Windows 8 as I don't have it.

Also bear in mind that Windows 8 is optimised for touchscreens, not a mouse or touchpad. A mouse/touchpad can be a bit "clunky" on Windows 8, though I realise you have to use it because your Lenovo model doesn't have a touchscreen.

This couldn't be farther from the truth. Windows 8 is not optimized for a touchscreen, it has touchscreen drivers so it can work with a touchscreen. I've got Windows 8 on my Asus laptop which doesn't have a touchscreen and it's just as smooth as any previous OS.
