Solved Make Skype recognize Creative Labs Vibra WebCam in Win 8.1

August 2, 2014 at 14:36:15
Specs: Windows 8.1
I am trying to set up skype on my Windows 8.1 desk top. I have the up graded Skype and the sound and microphone work well but I can't get my older vibra webcam to work. I tried using the installation CD but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Look for Win 8 or 8.1 drivers from the manufacturer, against the model number of your vibra. The original installation disk is unlikely to have suitable drivers.

I might be too old, or maybe it will work with Wn 7 drivers if there is nothing else available. My own camera is unsupported (despite being an MS camera) but I manage to make it work on Win 8.1.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Messages I am getting: fail to load skin and incompatible program.
Thanks for your help but it looks like I need to buy a new WebCam.
