Specs: Windows 8, AMD VISION / 6 Gb
Hi to all,
I am using an HP dv7 laptop Under Win 8 64 bits and I have been experiencing a frustrating problem for some time : after putting the system on (either reboot or resume from hibernation),although the wifi connexion is displayed as up and running (I can access my mailbox), IE will not display any website before a delay which can reach 8 minutes !

I scanned the HP forums which advise to update the wifi card driver, which I did, but without any success. The worse is that this problem did not arise before (what ?).

Any help welcome and thanks in advance - Claude

Temporarily install an alternative browser such as Firefox. That will prove whether it is a browser issue or not.

If it only happens on IE you could try IE Reset from a desktop shortcut :
IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset button. You will lose customizations and addons but the addons soon come back with usage.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Hi Derek,

Thanks for your interest in my problem. In the meantime, I restored a system backup taken a few days ago, and IE responds normally again. By the way, I had tried another browser, and I had exactly the same issue with it.
