Specs: Windows 8
My laptop is stuck with the bios screen after switching on. No operating system sign, like windows logo, etc. what should i do? After saving setting on the bios, it automatically restarts and again gets stuck for eternity.

What is the make/model of the computer?

Often, there will be a separate button for boot menu (ie F1 for BIOS and F2 for boot) see if you can get this up. If it does come up, just select to boot to your hard drive, and maybe it will free it from the loop.

What settings did you change in BIOS? Were you messing around with boot order? Did you try changing them back?

CPU: AMD FX-8350 - 8 Core @ 4.0 GHz
RAM: 2x4 GB @ 1600 MHz
SDD: Samsung EVO 840 500GB
HDD: WD Black 2TB
Mobo: MSI 970A-G43
GPU: Radeon 7870
OS: Windows 8.1 64-Bit

It actually directly goes to the BIOSutility and gets stuck there.

I've known this procedure to "unstick" computers (although I've not had much luck with it lately):
Disconnect from domestic power and remove laptop battery. Hold the Power Off/On button in for about 20 seconds, which discharges the battery. Assemble and try again - easy to try at least.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

The 'no operating system' usually means a problem with the hard drive. Does it show in bios setup?

Yes, I think this is most likely to be a hardware fault - possibly the HD as per #4.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
